Goodbye and Hello!

For those who are unaware, today is my last day working fulltime at the integrated marketing and public relations agency Vivid Ascent. I’m very appreciative of my coworkers who have helped me grow professionally and personally over the past 10 months. The skills, experience, and knowledge I’ve gained has helped me become a better professional and is something that I’ll never forget.

You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life – Steve Jobs

Though my times at Vivid Ascent have been nothing but positive, my freelance business has increased which presented me with an opportunity to grow this business even further. Beginning tomorrow, I will be working full-time on creating my own business, Calderone Ventures. The main business will be Internet Marketing, but I also intend on doing other really fun projects I hope all of my friends and family will enjoy (Pizza blog, Bike Bar Crawl). If you’ve got an idea for a website or project, let me know and let’s do it!

I also share this with you because referrals are an essential part of my business. If you think my projects are awesome (or even just semi-awesome…) then I ask you to please share my name to any small business owners you know. I’ll buy you a beer. Or seven.

Stay tuned. The next six months of my life are either going to be very entertaining and lots of exciting new projects are going to spring up or I may end up homeless. Don’t let me end up homeless.

Congrats Joe! I hope this new (ad)venture proves successful and wicked fun for you. Also, I wouldn’t won’t to see you as a homeless creep.

Thanks Jim! And I hope if I do end up homeless, I’m not necessarily a creepy homeless guy…
